Jeff Williams is the driver for JW Racing.  Williams has succeeded in making racing not just a hobby, but a career since he started drag racing over a decade ago.  JW Racing finished in the SouthWest Tour Truck (SWTT) series Top-10 every season because of his talented driving.  He earned the Most Improved Driver and Rookie of the Year in 2000.  Williams would love to drive in the Camping World NASCAR Truck Series professionally in the near future.

JW Racing won the 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010 & 2011 SWTT Championships and the 2006, 2007 & 2011  Irwindale Speedway SWTT division Championships.  JW Racing has over 35 wins and over 60 top 5 finishes over the last 6 seasons.  Jeff has wins at the 8 different tracks (Toyota Speedway at Irwindale, Lucas Oil I-10 Speedway, Havasu 95 Speedway, Orange Show, Mesa Marin, Altamont, Tucson & Willow Springs.)

Williams has learned a considerable amount about driving from his father (and spotter), other racers and from personnel experience on the track. He takes his talent, knowledge and positive attitude with him to each race and never makes a mistake on the track.  Williams listens to the truck and takes pride in running a clean race.

His outgoing personality and top finishes have won over many of the young fans at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale and other tracks the team visits.  The crowd cheers every time the number 28 roars down the straightaway or completes a pass all the way down on the apron.

Along with his racing obligations, Williams owns a web based racing parts business.  He enjoys working on the race truck during his free time and builds not only his engines, but also for several fellow racers too.  Williams sets-up his own chassis and makes all racing decisions.  He still keeps his 10-second ’67 Mustang in his home garage and keeps it in running order.

Williams graduated from Midland Lee High School in 1988.  He currently resides in Newbury Park, California.

Owner: Vern Williams

Vern Williams is the owner of JW Racing.  He is the main financial backer of this semi-pro truck racing team, spotter and the father of its driver, Jeff Williams.  Williams not only helped start this successful race team, but has proven that hard work and dedication produces positive results.

Before the Williams duo decided to start racing oval track, Vern was the entire crew for the '67 Mustang drag race car.

Williams would like to see his son become a professional race driver because he knows this would be a dream come true for Jeff.  He strongly believes that working on cars may be considered a hobby, but owning a race vehicle and having consistent finishes is a career.

Williams will do what he can to make this race team reach the top, but cheating is not an option.  Williams markets the race team and secures sponsors for each season.  He is in this for only one reason, to see his son behind the wheel of a Camping World NASCAR Truck and for him be able to earn a good living by doing something that he loves.

Besides owning a race team, Williams works at Specialty Devices in the training/safety department a few miles from his home.

He currently resides with his wife in Newbury Park, California.
